2) Spain, whose population is about that of California and whose land area and climate are similar to Texas, is the world's THIRD largest producer of renewable energy, after Germany (second) and the much larger United States (first). How did they do it? Their government is not in an oil-addicted stupor induced by 100 years of heavy petroleum production and profit. Do we plan to spend our time in the future or in the past? It's time to adapt, folks! The times are a changin'.
