Neat! We just recently went to Sweden, where old American cars from the 1950s-1970s are very popular, and in just 4 days we saw quite a few of these beauties! Design-wise the 1950s were without a doubt the best period in car history.
They are gorgeous, aren’t they? When I was a kid in the ‘50s we’d all go to the car dealerships when the new models came out in September-October and have eye-candy feast all week, visiting each of the dealerships. It was quite a treat for the grade-schoolers.
Heaven help you if you hit anything in one of these seatbelt-less, airbag-less, sharp radio knobbed tanks, though. They’d kill ya in the blink of an eye, but they surely were beautiful.
Some of the models with big engines would pass anything on the road except a gas station.

I love ‘em.
