Attention!

Evidently that nastygram I sent to the (Okla.) Capitol last Friday (9 May) advocating a vote on the autism insurance bill got somebody'sattention. My profile had more than 100 visits over the weekend, and chuckoates.com had more than 125 requests between 8:00 a.m. and 9:59 a.m. Saturday morning (10 May) from the same IP address. That's about a month or six weeks worth of normal activity for these on-line presences.

I hope those messages and the phone calls did some good. If not, I guess it's time to take Gabe and his family down to the Capitol and let the esteemed legislators look into Gabe's big blue eyes and tell him face to face that they're selling him and several hundred more of his Oklahoma peers down the river to please the insurance companies, and thereby to keep their legislative campaign contributions flowing.

Shameful!

Thank you so much for your advocacy!! I dare them to look into his face and see his beautiful vibrant smile and tell me it's not worth it; if a trip to Capitol hill is needed then a trip to the Capitol is where we will go. Heck, his thearpy isn't far. Perhaps they should pay a visit to the therapy office that helps these beautiful children be able to deal with simple life tasks such as: ohhh, dealing with the lights being on, the everyday sounds of life, or perhaps how to go from eating mash potatoes to eating chicken all in one sitting. I've been on the phone and sending emails all day myself. I think they're sick of reading my name:) And for that I"M THANKFUL!
