What Are They Thinking?
A one-year extension of subsidies gives city-sized projects nothing to depend on. Big projects need planning horizons of several years to keep us from paying what? $200 / barrel prices for oil and $20 or $30 / MCF prices for natural gas five years from now? (The subsidies won't be needed then, of course.)
Keep this in mind next November. Send the unthinking fools home permanently to enjoy their hefty pensions, generous health care, and (for all the rest of us) stupendous energy costs.
